COLDHEARTED BIOGRAPHY
COLD-HEARTED developed a passion for music at a young age and was always dancing and singing songs off the radio with her mother, brother and friends. At the age of 11, she began writing poems and converting them into flows on a network of answering machines popular at the time. After taking time off to deal with personal and familial issues, COLD-HEARTED was re-introduced to the game by one of her male counterparts. COLD-HEARTED’s ambitious, business savvy personality and real-life music content helped her make major moves in a short time. A self-proclaimed “student of the game” she spends countless hours reading industry publications/websites, studying the Publishing component, traveling to seminars, reviewing charts, and staying connected with established artists and tastemakers.
Since officially hitting the scene in 2005, COLD-HEARTED has been steady on the grind...building a buzz, networking and making major moves. This new female prodigy is all business, raw talent and determined to be a successful business executive, songwriter and recording artist. COLD-HEARTED released her first EP in 2006 featuring the anthems “F*** Love” (set to the music of LL Cool J’s “I Need Love”) and “Money Motivation”. Coined by her male peers as “The coldest game-spittin’ dame “, she quickly gained respect and recognition in the streets of Naptown and throughout the Midwest region. In 2007, COLD-HEARTED signed to On Point Entertainment and has not looked back. Her first single “I’m On Point” was released in 2008 on the compilation THE PRODUCT-UNIFIED HUSTLE VOLUME 1 and is still blazing the streets, local radio stations, nightclubs, and internet sites. “This record is a tribute to all the REAL independent females in the world that are ON POINT; making her own money, living life to the fullest no matter what anyone else thinks or says about it! She’s book AND street smart, sexy AND classy, plus she knows how to have a good time… RESPONSIBLY! The female the Players wanna meet and the Haters wanna be!”
COLD-HEARTED has opened up shows for national artists such as Eight Ball & MJG, Spice 1, MC Eiht, Doe or Die, The Game, Crime Mob, Lil Scrappy and a host of others. She recently headlined the Ladies of Rap Tour with Mia X, Gangsta Boo and La Chat. She continues to perform at venues throughout the country and has been well-received by audiences everywhere she goes. She has been featured in HYPE MAGAZINE, URBANNETWORK.COM, THE MIDWEST LEAK, AMPS MAGAZINE, SCOOP, INDY.COM and many internet sites.
COLD-HEARTED is also very active in her community; mentoring young girls, educating unsigned artists, serving as a seminar panelist and volunteering 4 years straight as a Celebrity Judge the Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration Starquest Talent Competition and various other talent showcases.
In addition to pursuing her music career, COLD-HEARTED professes to be a lifelong learner. In 2006, she graduated from Marian College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management in May, 2007 with Honors, and is on track to graduate with her Master’s Degree in Strategic/Human Resources Management in 2011. Her future goals include building a profitable career in the music industry and a desire to become a reputable Entertainment Attorney.
COLD-HEARTED is the epitome of the grind and her positive outlook is contagious to other artists. She has a can-do, will-do mentality and sets realistic goals that she pursues diligently. With the On Point Entertainment brand behind her and a clear vision of what she wants to accomplish, COLD-HEARTED is definitely “THE NEW BREED OF FEMCEE” that’s taking the industry by storm.
She is currently in the studio working on her debut album Hobby, Hustle, Business: The Life of a Female Hustler slated for release in the spring of 2010.
